Mateu is an expert in Spain and EU and international tax. For more than a decade, he has advised large companies, SMEs and individuals on local and international tax law. Mateu actively participates in financial and mercantile issues involved with structuring corporate transactions, drafting and revising company constitutions, increasing and reducing company capital, and business restructuring. He also has been a fundamental support for clients that need wealth management services, estate and succession planning, fiscal advice regarding succession and donation tax matters, wealth transfer taxes, and stamp duty taxes.
In addition to his commercial work for Harris Bricken, Mateu is also a professor of Economic Theory and Public Finance at UNED, where he has been teaching at the Associated Center of Cervera (Lleida) for more than 14 years to students pursuing an ADE Degree, in Economics, Law and Political Science and Administration.
