Joy is one of our paralegals, primarily assisting our Washington corporate and international law teams. Dedicated to improving and expanding her knowledge and abilities, Joy takes every opportunity to learn the intricacies of law practice and endeavors to be an effective support for the firm.
Born and raised in Yakima, Washington, Joy later moved to Seattle to pursue a degree at the University of Washington. During her studies, she was active in student life, dedicating much time to training with and revitalizing the Shotokan Karate Club as secretary/treasurer, and eventually as its president.
After graduating from UW with a B.A. in Sociocultural Anthropology with minors in Global Health and American Indian Studies, Joy’s desire to expand her horizons drew her to Sapporo, Japan. She lived and taught English to high school students there for several years, creating lasting and meaningful relationships while learning the language and the culture.
Since returning to the Seattle area, Joy spends her free time reacquainting herself with the city she loves.
