Arlo is based in China, where he advises our clients and our attorneys on China business issues relating to Chinese law. He also assists with company formations, due diligence reviews, corruption compliance, and contract drafting and negotiation. Above all else, Arlo is our go-to-person to resolve time-sensitive issues that require expert interaction with Chinese governmental entities.
Arlo has lived in China for going on two decades, mostly working with nonprofits and publicly traded corporations. He is a strong negotiator in both Mandarin and English, even in environments that strongly favor the “home team.” Having been immersed in Chinese law and culture for so long, Arlo is especially adept at helping foreign and Chinese businesses communicate with each other as clearly and effectively as possible.
Arlo enjoys running 10k races and half-marathons, playing basketball with his three sons, playing keyboards and guitar in his cover band, and cooking delicious vegan meals with his wife. He also is working on getting his U.S. law degree.
