Canna Law Blog

“Marijuana doesn’t have a high potential for abuse,” says one of the leading doctors on medical cannabis issues, and chief medical correspondent for CNN. Dr. Gupta also states that cannabis have “very legitimate medical applications.”

We wrote a couple months ago on how the DEA refused to reschedule marijuana to a lower class, a decision it justified based on cannabis’s alleged potential for abuse and its lack of medical applicability. So regardless of prominent physicians’ assertions and medical research, the DEA somehow continues to believe and assert that marijuana should be classified alongside LSD and heroin as highly dangerous and essentially worthless.

We continue to be “terribly and systematically misled” by our own government. Are you okay with that?
