The United States Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in China last week issued a 143 page report setting forth their recommendations for US-China trade negotiations. Though both of these organizations have a long-standing history of calling for engagement with China so as to further US business interests, this report recommends anything but this. It is instead a strongly worded report on how China has set up an unfair playing field for US businesses and a call for the US trade negotiators not to do a trade deal that does not address these concerns. We are linking to this report here because it is being discussed so often right now in the press and our China lawyers have received so many requests from clients and others for us to tell them where they can read a copy of it. We figured we’d make it even easier than that by linking to it below.
