Barcelona on November 6 and Madrid on November 7
The United States is Spain’s number one trade partner outside the European Union and the depth and breadth of this trade relationship continues to grow. On November 6th and 7th, Harris Bricken will collaborate with our affiliated Spain firm, Monereo Meyer Abogados, and with the Barcelona and the Madrid Chambers of Commerce, to host “The New Era of Doing Business in the United States.”
Harris Bricken attorneys Adams Lee, Fred Rocafort, Akshat Divatia, and Dan Harris, will lead these seminars alongside their Spanish colleagues, Andrés Monereo, Gustavo Yanes and Nadja Vietz. We will discuss tax reform, trade tariffs and duties, immigration policy, and the recently signed double taxation treaty between Spain and the United States, all with an eye toward helping attendees sort out recent issues Spanish companies face when doing business in and with the United States.
Harris Bricken’s international team expanded to Spain in 2016, opening a Barcelona office under the direction of Nadja Vietz, and since then we have provided a panoply of Spain-U.S. business and international law services. Ms. Vietz, who is licensed in both Spain and the United States, will — along with Mr. Harris — co-lead a presentation on the key legal issues Spanish companies face when doing business in or with the United States.
